Zadina di Cesenatico: beach and nature!

a peaceful center just 2 km from Cesenatico

A small seaside village

Cesenatico is a seaside town on a human scale where the rhythms of fishing still mark the day. The historic center develops along the canal port with its streets of low, colorful houses, up to the walk towards the two lighthouses that dot the pier. The Piazza delle Conserve, the alleys, and the paved roads along the canal host shops with a traditional flavor and craft markets. The Maritime Museum with its ancient sails, and the house of the poet Marino Moretti are must-sees.

Zadina!

Zadina is a beautiful location in the northern area of Cesenatico. An ideal place for a holiday dedicated to nature and tranquility, it offers a clean sea and a cool green pine forest, perfect for sports activities or long walks.

Zadina is also conveniently located for those who want to explore. It is near the center of Cesenatico, delightful to visit especially in the evening, as well as the Cervia Salt Pan Nature Reserve and just a few km from Milano Marittima.

The Pine Forest

The Zadina pine forest is a true green lung that, with its thick trees, borders the Riviera beach.

It is part of the Ravenna Nature Reserve, one of the few practically uncontaminated places in our territory. This precious green treasure covers an area of over 5 hectares along the soft beach. Inside the pine forest, you will find several children's play areas, paths and equipment for outdoor sports, and shaded areas for cool moments of relaxation.

Leonardesque Canal Port

It was built in the sixteenth century based on a project designed by the genius Leonardo Da Vinci. Following the path of the canal port, you traverse an itinerary through the heart of the city, winding from the historic center to the sea. Walking towards the pier, you can see the landmarks of Cesenatico: the Maritime Museum, Marino Moretti's house, Piazza Pisacane, the Old Fish Market, the Piazzetta delle Conserve, Piazza Ciceruacchio, the Vinciane Gates on the Vena Mazzarini, the Lighthouse, and the pier.

Cuisine

The small restaurants dotting the canal port specialize in seafood. During the aperitif hour, the intoxicating scent spreading from the kitchens attracts even those who didn't intend to dine out. Traditional dishes, such as grilled sardines with piadina, radicchio, and onion or spaghetti with clams, alternate with gourmet options on the menus displayed outside the restaurants along the canal, satisfying every type of holiday appetite.

Fishing

Every time a fishing boat sails along the pier, a kind of magic happens. Our fishing boats leave and return at different times of the day, invariably escorted by a crowd of seagulls dancing in a primordial rhythm. The most special moments on the pier are from 5 to 6 AM, from 1 to 2 PM at lunch, and from 6 to 7 PM in the evening.

Cycling

Thousands of cyclists from all over Europe flock to Cesenatico year-round, recognized as the international home of cycling tourism in the heart of the Adriatic Riviera. It is the land of the "magical" Marco Pantani, to whom the city dedicated the "Spazio Pantani" museum. Cesenatico is the ideal base for fantastic rides toward the hinterland, offering a splendid scenery of ever-changing itineraries. It also hosts many professional competitions, the most famous being the "Nove Colli" Gran Fondo in May.
